Game Overview

Video Olympics is basically Pong on steroids—Atari took the simple paddle-and-ball formula and cranked it up with a bunch of wild twists. You’ve got the classic one-on-one duel, sure, but then things get weird in the best way. Ever played Pong with four paddles per side like foosball? Or tried to ricochet the ball off a wall in Handball mode? My personal favorite is Hockey, where the goal isn’t even at the edge—the ball can sneak behind it, which leads to some hilarious last-second panic.

The sports themes are charmingly janky (volleyball with a single pixel "net" will never not be funny), but they all come down to that same satisfying back-and-forth rhythm. Just don’t expect realism—this is pure arcade chaos with blocky graphics and that addictive "one more round" feel. Perfect for when you’ve got a friend over and want some old-school competition without overthinking it.
