Game Overview

Viz: The Game came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Elorg. It was a time when turning popular comics into video games was a common, if often clumsy, experiment, and this title fit right into that trend without any pretensions of being more than a digital extension of the magazine's anarchic humor.

You control one of several characters from the comic, like Johnny Fartpants or Buster Gonad, navigating through a series of disjointed mini-games that parody other genres. The main objective is simply to survive the absurd challenges thrown at you, which might involve dodging projectiles, engaging in simplistic combat, or completing tasks with intentionally terrible controls. The pacing is frantic and the difficulty often feels unfair, leaning heavily on trial and error. Playing it feels like wrestling with a broken toy that occasionally makes you laugh out of sheer frustration.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
