Play Vlak Online
Dodge oncoming trains and time your moves to cross tracks as you try to survive longer in this classic arcade-style game.
Vlak came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Golem. It was a simple, straightforward arcade-style game from that era, the kind you'd load up after school when you just wanted something quick and challenging to play for a while.
You control a small figure that must cross multiple tracks of oncoming trains. Your objective is to survive as long as possible, moving from the bottom of the screen to the top before the trains hit you. The core mechanics involve precise timing and dodging; you watch the patterns of the trains, wait for an opening, and make a run for it. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes quickly as more trains and diagonal paths are introduced. It feels like a constant, tense calculation of risk and speed.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
