Volfied came out in 1989 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Taito. It was one of those games that felt right at home on a PC in the early 90s, sitting alongside other arcade-style ports that demanded quick reflexes and a steady hand. The premise was simple: you're reclaiming territory from an alien infestation, screen by screen.

You control a small ship that moves along a fixed border, firing a laser to cut shapes out of the playfield. The goal is to fill a certain percentage of each screen to advance, all while avoiding the alien creatures that patrol the area. If you get too close or cut off a section poorly, they break free and chase you relentlessly. The pacing is tense; one mistake can fill the screen with enemies in seconds. It feels like a careful, high-stakes puzzle where speed and precision are everything.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
