You pick from a roster of superpowered high schoolers—some throw fire, others teleport, and one guy literally turns into a wolf—and then just wail on each other in these bright, chaotic stages.
The controls feel a little stiff at first compared to something like Street Fighter, but once you get the hang of chaining moves together, it clicks. There’s this one combo where you juggle someone mid-air with electric punches, and it never gets old. Also, the announcer yells "GOWCAIZER!" way too loud when you pick the main character, which is either awesome or annoying depending on your mood.
If you’re into obscure arcade fighters with personality to spare, this one’s a blast. Just don’t expect it to play like the big-name titles.
