Game Overview

So Wario’s flying his busted biplane (because of course he is) when it conks out, dumping him in the middle of nowhere. Typical. He stumbles into this creepy cave with a magic music box—next thing he knows, some shadowy weirdo’s like, "Hey, find my missing music boxes and you can keep all the treasure." Classic Wario deal: greedy, sketchy, and somehow still tempting.

Unlike most platformers, enemies can’t actually kill you here—they just mess you up in weird ways. Get hit by a bat? Congrats, you’re now a puffy, floating balloon Wario. Smacked by a turtle? Enjoy life as an uncontrollable ball of yarn. It’s equal parts hilarious and frustrating when you’re mid-jump and suddenly rolling off a cliff as a yarn ball.

The real kicker? You start with barely any moves. No ground pound, no swimming—just Wario’s weird little shuffle. You’ve gotta backtrack through levels once you unlock abilities, which sounds annoying but actually makes finding hidden loot way more satisfying. That first time you return to an early level and finally smash through that one suspicious floor? Chef’s kiss.

It’s weird, janky, and totally Wario in the best way possible.
