Play Warship Online
Navigate your ship on a grid, use sonar to find enemies, and fire torpedoes to sink opposing vessels before they take you out in Warship.
Warship was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I don't recall the developer's name offhand. It fit right in with the kind of simple, keyboard-driven games we played in the early DOS days, when graphics were minimal and imagination did a lot of the work.
You control a small ship represented by a character symbol, moving it across a grid-based ocean filled with enemy vessels. Your main goal is to hunt down and destroy all opposing ships before they sink you. You navigate screen by screen, using sonar to detect nearby enemies and firing torpedoes when you get a lock. The pacing is tense; you're constantly scanning the horizon, managing your limited torpedoes, and trying to outmaneuver foes that can appear from any direction. It feels like a high-stakes game of hide and seek on open water.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
