Wayne's World on Game Boy came out in 1993, published by THQ. It was one of those licensed games from the era that tried to capture the spirit of the movie on a handheld, with all the limitations and charm that implies. You could tell they were aiming for something fun and a little offbeat, just like the source material.

You control either Wayne or Garth, moving screen by screen through suburban and backstage areas. The main goal is to rescue your friends from a villain by fighting through waves of enemies, mostly guys in sunglasses who need a good kick. You jump across platforms, avoid obstacles like falling anvils or bouncing balls, and collect cassette tapes to unlock new stages. The pacing is brisk, but the controls can feel a bit stiff, making some jumps trickier than they should be. It feels like a straightforward, slightly clunky brawler that doesn't take itself too seriously.
