Wayne's World for the SNES came out in 1993, published by THQ. It was part of that wave of movie tie-in games that tried to capture the spirit of the source material, for better or worse. On the Super Nintendo, it fit right in with other licensed titles that aimed for humor and action, though it definitely had its own quirky vibe.

You control Wayne, moving through side-scrolling levels based on scenes from the film. The main goal is to rescue Garth from various themed stages, like a TV studio or a heavy metal concert. You punch and kick enemies, smash objects for health items, and occasionally drive the Mirthmobile in a frustrating top-down driving section. The pacing is uneven, with some frustrating enemy placements and cheap hits, but the sheer absurdity of fighting a demonic hamburger or collecting "excellent" icons keeps it memorable. It feels like playing through a chaotic, slightly broken Saturday morning cartoon version of the movie.
