Game Overview

Wendy: Every Witch Way came out for the Game Boy Color in 2001, developed by WayForward Technologies. It was part of that late-era GBC lineup, games that tried to squeeze a little more out of the hardware before the Advance took over. You play as Wendy, a young witch who causes a magical accident and has to fix it.

You guide Wendy through a series of single-screen rooms, using her magic wand to flip gravity, letting her walk on ceilings and floors to solve environmental puzzles. The main goal is to collect stars scattered in each stage while avoiding or defeating enemies. If you get hit, you lose any stars you're carrying, which adds a real risk to exploration. The game moves at a deliberate pace, focusing on puzzle-solving over speed, and some rooms require careful timing and positioning. It feels clever and a little tense, especially when you're trying to keep a chain of stars intact.
