Game Overview

So, Werewolf: The Last Warrior is this weird little NES gem where you play as a dude who can turn into a werewolf—which is good, because some mad scientist type has cranked out a bunch of mutant freaks and taken over everything. You start off as a regular guy throwing punches and shooting these weird energy blasts, but honestly? That part kinda sucks. The real fun begins when you grab one of those red "W" icons and boom—instant werewolf mode.

Suddenly you're sprinting faster, jumping higher, and clawing through enemies like they're made of wet paper. Oh, and you can climb walls now, which feels ridiculously cool for an NES game. There's even an anger meter—collect enough orbs and you morph into this glowing, near-invincible super-werewolf that just wrecks everything. (Though grab a blue "W" by accident and you're back to being a squishy human again. Learned that the hard way.)

Five stages total, each ending with a boss that’s got its own annoying pattern to memorize. The werewolf stuff is so overpowered you’ll spend half the game hunting for those red icons, but hey—who doesn’t want to be an angry wall-climbing monster?
