Game Overview

West Phaser_DiskB is one of those weird little Amiga games that feels like it got lost in time. You control this blocky little ship that shoots discs—not lasers, not bullets, but discs—across a minimalist space backdrop. The controls are simple, but the way those discs bounce off walls makes it way more chaotic than it first seems.

At first, I thought it was just another basic shooter, but the physics of those ricocheting projectiles turn every level into a puzzle. You’ll miss a shot, watch the disc ping around the screen, and suddenly take out an enemy you weren’t even aiming at. It’s janky in that charming early-Amiga way, where the sound effects are just bleeps and the graphics look like someone scribbled them in Deluxe Paint during lunch.

Not gonna lie, it’s rough around the edges, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about mastering the angles. If you dig obscure retro shooters, this one’s a curious little time capsule.
