Game Overview

Skunny: In The Wild West came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Titus Interactive. It was one of those early platformers that felt right at home on a clunky keyboard, with chunky graphics and a simple premise that didn't try to overcomplicate things. You knew what you were getting: a straightforward, sometimes unforgiving run through a cartoonish Western landscape.

You control Skunny, a little skunk dressed as a cowboy, and your goal is to rescue your girlfriend from a gang of outlaw weasels. The game plays out screen by screen, with each one presenting a new set of obstacles like cacti, mine carts, and bottomless pits. You jump on enemies or avoid them entirely, collect coins for extra lives, and navigate some surprisingly tricky platforming sections. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later stages where precision jumps become essential. It feels like a product of its time: charming in its simplicity, occasionally frustrating, but always pushing you to try just one more time.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
