Game Overview

Wild Thornberrys Rambler came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Mattel. It was one of those licensed platformers that felt right at home on the system, colorful and straightforward, fitting in with the era's focus on cartoon adaptations and side scrolling adventures.

You control Eliza Thornberry, moving through jungle environments screen by screen. Your main goal is to photograph specific animals while also fending off poachers by throwing fruit at them. The game involves a lot of exploration, searching for creatures to snap pictures of, and navigating environmental obstacles. The pacing is fairly relaxed, though some sections require careful timing to avoid hazards or enemies. It feels like a light, cheerful trek through the show's world, simple but pleasantly engaging.
