Game Overview

Wild Guns came out on the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed and published by Natsume. It was one of those games that felt a little different from everything else at the time, mixing a dusty western setting with a heavy dose of futuristic robots and gadgets. It didn't try to be another platformer or RPG; it carved out its own frantic, explosive niche.

You control either Clint the bounty hunter or Annie the sharpshooter, moving a targeting reticle around the screen to shoot enemies, dynamite, and incoming projectiles. Your character on the ground automatically dodges most attacks, but you have to time a button press to leap over low shots or roll under high ones. The goal is simply to survive each screen-long shootout, racking up points and trying not to get overwhelmed. The pace is relentless, and the difficulty is punishing, demanding quick reflexes and sharp aim. It feels like trying to conduct an orchestra where every instrument is a gunshot and every note is an explosion.
