Play Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on GBC Online

Nailing early questions feels easy until you’re sweating over obscure trivia, desperately using clunky lifelines while the cash ladder taunts you. That GBC cartridge somehow makes guessing wombat facts feel high-stakes.

Game Overview

Remember that sweaty-palm feeling watching Who Wants to Be a Millionaire as a kid? The Game Boy Color version somehow captures that same tension, just without Regis Philbin judging your terrible guesses. You start off breezing through questions like "What color is the sky?" (don't laugh—the first one really is that easy), but by question six you're Googling 19th century French poets with your actual phone because the virtual lifelines aren't cutting it.

The 50:50 option works surprisingly well for a tiny cartridge game, though the "Phone a Friend" just gives you a canned answer after dramatic beeping sounds. Best part? The cash ladder actually makes you pause before risking it all on whether wombats are marsupials (they are, by the way—learned that the hard way).

It's janky in that perfect late-90s handheld way, but if you miss shouting at quiz shows, this little time capsule will have you nervously chewing your nails all over again.
