Wibarm came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Artdink. It was a time when top-down action games were common, but this one had a specific, almost methodical feel that set it apart from the faster shooters of the era.
You control a small hover-tank, navigating maze-like levels one screen at a time. Your main goal is to destroy all enemy generators in each stage while fending off waves of foes. The key mechanics involve switching between a limited set of weapons, each suited for particular enemies, and carefully maneuvering to avoid getting cornered. The pace is deliberate; you can't just rush in, and the difficulty comes from managing your position and ammo under pressure. It feels tense and tactical, where every decision matters right up to the end.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
