Play Winter Games (Rev A) Online

Trying to land figure skating jumps without wiping out is way harder than it looks, and the bobsled run gets hilariously chaotic when you hit top speed. That biathlon combo of skiing and shooting shouldn’t click, but it weirdly does.

Game Overview

Winter Games on NES is one of those old-school sports compilations where you get to try your hand at classic winter Olympic events—figure skating, skiing, bobsledding, that kind of thing. It’s got that classic Epyx feel, where the controls are simple but mastering them takes some practice (good luck nailing the triple axel in figure skating without faceplanting).

The events are short and arcade-y, so it’s easy to jump in for a quick round. The bobsled run is weirdly intense once you pick up speed, and the biathlon mixes shooting with skiing in a way that shouldn’t work but somehow does. Graphics are basic, obviously, but the animations have this charming, janky energy to them.

If you’ve got nostalgia for the NES era or just want a no-frills winter sports fix, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect anything too deep—it’s all about quick, chaotic fun.
