Game Overview

Wizardry VI on the Amiga is one of those old-school dungeon crawlers that doesn’t hold your hand—you’ll spend the first 10 minutes just rolling up a party, agonizing over whether to pick a ninja or a bishop this time. The pixel art is charmingly clunky, and the turn-based combat feels punishingly fair (or maybe just punishing).

Expect lots of graph paper mapping, cryptic clues, and that satisfying moment when your party finally survives an ambush by some ridiculous monster. The Cosmic Forge stuff adds this weird, almost cosmic horror twist to the usual fantasy tropes. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

If you miss the days when RPGs made you work for every scrap of progress, this one’s a time capsule worth dusting off.
