Wizards Castle is one of those classic Amiga games that looks simple but will absolutely wreck you. You play as this little dude who barges into a wizard’s tower—no magic, no fancy weapons, just fists. And you’ll need them, because everything in there wants to kill you. Birds dive at you, bugs skitter around, and slugs… well, they’re slow, but they’ll still cost you a life if you touch them.

You start with 20 lives, which sounds generous until you realize how fast they disappear. Every screen has a timer ticking down, so you can’t just stand around figuring things out. The crystals scattered around give you points, but mostly you’re just trying to punch your way through before time runs out. It’s chaotic, a little janky, and weirdly satisfying when you finally clear a screen.
