WolfPack came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed and published by NovaLogic. It was a submarine simulation that fit right into the era of detailed, demanding PC games, where players expected complexity and a steep learning curve rather than instant gratification.

You command a German U-boat wolfpack during World War II, coordinating multiple submarines to hunt Allied convoys in the North Atlantic. The game involves plotting intercept courses on a strategic map, managing torpedo attacks through a periscope view, and evading depth charges when destroyers counterattack. Pacing is deliberate, even slow, as you wait for targets to enter range or for your subs to reposition; the difficulty is high, with careful resource management and tactical patience required. It feels like a tense game of chess played across hundreds of miles of open ocean, where one wrong move can end everything.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
