Game Overview

World Class Soccer came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Krisalis Software. It was one of those early PC soccer titles that tried to capture the feel of the sport with the limited tech of the time, sitting alongside other pixelated sports sims that were just starting to figure out how to translate real-time action onto a keyboard.

You control a team of eleven players, switching between them to pass, tackle, and shoot your way toward the opponent's goal. The main objective is simple: score more goals than the other side. Key mechanics include manual player switching, which forces you to think about positioning, and a shot power bar that demands timing to place the ball accurately. Matches are fast, sometimes chaotic, and the difficulty can spike against tougher teams. It feels like a raw, earnest attempt at bringing soccer to the screen, where every hard-won goal actually means something.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
