Game Overview
World Heroes 2 on NES is a weird little port of the arcade fighter—stripped down, clunky, but kinda charming in its own way. The characters are all here, but their moves feel stiff compared to the original, like someone tried to translate the arcade controls with half the buttons.
You pick your fighter—some historical figures, some straight-up fantasy—and jump into these tiny, flat stages. The sprites are blocky, the sound effects are tinny, and the AI either stands there or suddenly wrecks you. It’s janky, but there’s something oddly satisfying about landing a super move when the inputs actually work.
If you’re expecting the arcade experience, this isn’t it. But if you want a rough-around-the-edges NES fighter with a weird roster, World Heroes 2 has its moments.
