World Heroes Perfect is that classic Neo Geo fighter where they finally ditched the weird pressure-sensitive buttons and went with a proper four-button layout—though you can still get stronger attacks by hitting two punch or kick buttons at once. Feels way more responsive than the earlier games, and the special moves actually make sense now. Weak or strong versions depend on whether you press one button or two, which adds a nice layer to fights.

They threw in some new characters and tweaked the old ones, but the real fun is the ABC Special Moves. Every fighter has one—just smash A+B+C together and watch chaos unfold. Fuuma fakes out his specials, J. Max catches and chucks projectiles back, and Kim Dragon counters mid-block. It’s wild how much these change up fights, especially when you’re down to half health and desperation moves start flying.

No fancy modes here—just straight-up arcade battles where you pick a fighter, brawl through ten random opponents, and then take on Zeus and Neo Dio for the ending. The stages are these time-hopping arenas, which is a nice touch. Not the deepest fighter out there, but it’s solid, fast, and way more polished than the earlier World Heroes games.
