Game Overview
Worms: Open Warfare 2 on the DS is basically the same chaotic, turn-based mayhem you know from the PC games, but now it fits in your pocket. You get a squad of little worms with squeaky voices, and then it’s all about lobbing bazookas, dropping banana bombs, and occasionally nailing that perfect ninja rope swing across the map.
The AI can be brutal sometimes—I swear the enemy worms have a sixth sense for dodging—but that just makes it more satisfying when you finally land a holy grenade right in their tunnel. There’s a campaign, quick skirmishes, and even multiplayer if you’ve got friends with copies (good luck with that these days). The humor’s still there too, from the worms’ ridiculous death animations to the way they mutter insults when you take too long.
It’s not the prettiest version of Worms, but for blowing stuff up on the bus, it does the job.
