Game Overview
Worms: Open Warfare 2 is basically the same chaotic, turn-based mayhem you love, but with way more ways to blow up your friends. You get a squad of tiny worms armed with ridiculous weapons—think Holy Hand Grenades, Super Sheep, and now weird new stuff like the Electromagnet—and take turns blasting each other across destructible maps. The physics are still janky in that perfect Worms way, where a misplaced shot might send your own team flying into the water.
There’s a single-player campaign with goofy cutscenes, but the real fun is in multiplayer. Up to four teams can go at it locally or online, and the new Forts mode is great if you like building (and then immediately destroying) little bases. Customization’s a big deal too—you can tweak your worms’ voices, victory dances, even design your own flag. The PSP version adds online rankings and some extra maps, like pirate-themed battlegrounds or futuristic war zones. Honestly, half the time I spent just messing around with the map editor.
It’s still Worms at its core: silly, unpredictable, and way too easy to lose hours to. Just watch out for the Concrete Donkey.
