Play WWF : Betrayal Online
Pick a wrestler, get ambushed, then brawl through streets and weird traps to rescue Stephanie—because of course Vince made this your problem. Dropkicks, flaming floors, and random laser cannons make this way stranger than it looks.

WWF: Betrayal came out for the Game Boy Color in 2001, developed by Natsume. It was a time when wrestling games were everywhere, but this one stood out by trying something different. Instead of another ring-based fighter, it went for a side-scrolling action adventure, which felt fresh on the handheld.
You control one of four WWF wrestlers, like The Rock or Undertaker, moving screen by screen through urban and industrial settings. Your goal is to rescue Stephanie McMahon from a kidnapping, fighting thugs and navigating environmental hazards along the way. The game mixes simple brawling with light platforming; you punch, kick, and use special moves, while also avoiding traps like flames or falling debris. It is not especially long, but the difficulty can spike in certain sections, especially with some awkward enemy placements. Playing it feels like a rough but earnest attempt to blend wrestling spectacle with classic action game design.
