Play WWF Royal Rumble (World) Online
Take control of a wrestler, throw opponents over the top rope, unleash signature moves, and battle it out in chaotic multi-man matches in WWF Royal Rumble on Sega Genesis.
WWF Royal Rumble came out for the Sega Genesis in 1993, developed by Sculptured Software and published by Flying Edge. It was one of the few wrestling games on the system that tried to capture the spectacle of the WWF's pay-per-view events, with digitized sprites and a roster full of recognizable stars from that era.
You control one wrestler, like Bret Hart or Yokozuna, and the goal is to throw every other competitor over the top rope. The game uses a three-button control scheme for punches, grapples, and running; signature mechanics include building up a special meter for powerful finisher moves and the chaotic multi-man brawls where alliances form and break instantly. Matches are fast and unpredictable, with the camera zooming in and out to follow the action, and it feels satisfying to finally eliminate an opponent after a long struggle near the ropes.
