WWF Royal Rumble on the Sega Genesis is pure chaos in the best way possible. You pick one of the 12 wrestlers—Bret Hart, Undertaker, Razor Ramon, and the rest—and just go wild. No rules, no refs, just slamming chairs over heads, tossing guys out of the ring, and hitting piledrivers until someone stays down.
Tag team mode is where it gets really messy, especially with three-on-three. Yokozuna’s sheer size makes him a beast, but good luck catching Shawn Michaels when he’s bouncing around the ring. The controls take a minute to get used to, but once you figure out how to Irish whip someone into the ropes, it’s hard to stop.
It’s not the prettiest wrestling game out there, but the sheer mayhem makes up for it. You’ll be yelling at the screen by the second match.
