You control a wrestler from a side view, moving left and right to grapple your opponent, perform slams, and climb the cage walls. The main goal is to either pin your opponent for a three count or escape the cage by reaching the floor outside. Signature mechanics include the ability to climb the cage to gain a height advantage for diving attacks, and a momentum-based grappling system where you build up power for stronger moves. The pacing is quick, with matches that can end suddenly if you are not careful, and the difficulty can spike against certain opponents. It feels like a chaotic, slightly clunky brawl where a well-timed move can turn everything around.
