You control Wolverine, Iceman, and Nightcrawler, switching between them to fight through waves of enemies across linear levels. Each character has a distinct play style: Wolverine slashes up close, Iceman fires projectiles from a distance, and Nightcrawler can teleport short distances to navigate gaps or ambush foes. The main goal is to clear each screen of enemies before moving forward, with some light platforming and occasional switches to hit. The pacing is straightforward, though the difficulty can spike in later stages. It feels like a competent, no-frills brawler that makes decent use of the license.
