You control Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Iceman across different stages, each with unique abilities tailored to the obstacles you face. Wolverine slashes through enemies and can heal himself, Nightcrawler teleports short distances to evade attacks or reach new areas, and Iceman flies on an ice slide, shooting projectiles at airborne foes. The main objective is to fight through waves of enemies, mostly Sentinels and Brotherhood members, while navigating environmental puzzles that require switching between characters. The pacing is brisk, with levels that focus on combat or platforming, though some sections can feel repetitive. It's a straightforward action game that delivers exactly what it promises: you feel powerful using each mutant's signature move against familiar villains.
