Yoshi Touch & Go came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed and published by Nintendo. It was one of those early DS titles that really leaned into the touch screen, a quirky little game that felt experimental for its time, not trying to be a big adventure but something you could just pick up and play in short bursts.
You control Yoshi, or sometimes Baby Mario, by drawing lines and shapes directly on the touch screen to guide them. The main goal is to get as far as possible while keeping Baby Mario safe; if he falls, it's over. You scribble clouds to create platforms, tap enemies to encase them in eggs, then flick those eggs to take out other obstacles. The pacing is fast and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding quick reflexes and smart drawing. It feels surprisingly tense and satisfying when you pull off a clean run.
