Young Indiana Jones Chronicles came out on the NES in 1992, developed by Jaleco. It was one of those many licensed games from that era, trying to capture the adventure of the films on the limited hardware. You control Indy through a series of linear levels, using your whip to attack enemies and swing over pits. The main goal is simply to reach the end of each stage, fighting soldiers, avoiding spikes, and occasionally solving very basic block pushing puzzles. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming constantly, and the difficulty can feel unfair due to stiff controls and limited continues. It feels like a constant struggle against the game itself just to see the next screen.
