Game Overview

Z: The Game came out in 1996 for MS-DOS, published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. It was part of that wave of real-time strategy games that really pushed the limits of what you could do on a PC back then, focusing on fast action and smart AI rather than just building up a base.

You control squads of small, red robots, moving them across maps to capture flags and factories while fighting enemy forces. The main goal is to take over all enemy territory, but the real challenge comes from how aggressive and clever the opposing AI is; they flank, ambush, and pressure you constantly. You spend a lot of time managing your units in real time, seizing strategic points, and trying to outmaneuver opponents who rarely give you a moment to breathe. It feels frantic and demanding, but also deeply satisfying when your tactics pay off.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
