Zelda Parallel Worlds - Remodel came out in 2009 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Euclid and SePH. It's a complete overhaul of A Link to the Past, reimagining the world and dungeons while keeping the core feel of the SNES era. This was a time when fan projects started pushing what the hardware could do, and this one definitely stands out for its ambition.
You control Link through a rearranged Hyrule, fighting enemies with your sword and bow while exploring screen by screen. The main goal is still to collect the Triforce pieces, but the path is entirely new, with redesigned dungeons that demand fresh strategies. Combat feels faster and more punishing, and the pacing is relentless, often throwing tough enemies at you early on. It feels like rediscovering a familiar game through a much sharper, more demanding lens.
