I remember picking up Zoboomafoo: Playtime in Zobooland for the Game Boy Color back in 2001. It was published by Viacom New Media, one of those many licensed games that filled the shelves during the handheld's peak. You don't see many people talk about it now, but at the time, if you were a kid who watched the show, it was a pretty direct way to jump into that world on the go.

You control the Kratt brothers, Chris and Martin, as they explore different areas of Zobooland. The main goal is to find and help animals by completing short tasks, like gathering specific items or solving simple environmental puzzles. The gameplay involves moving screen by screen, talking to animal characters, and collecting animal cards which act as your progress markers. It moves at a gentle pace, with very low difficulty aimed at younger players. It feels like a relaxed, interactive episode of the show, where the joy comes from recognition more than challenge.
