Game Overview

I remember playing Zoboomafoo on my Game Boy Color back in 2001. It was published by NewKidCo, one of those many licensed games that came out for kids during that era. The game was based on the PBS show, so it had that familiar, friendly vibe, but it wasn't trying to be the next big platformer; it was just a simple, colorful adventure for younger players.

You control Zoboo the lemur, hopping between platforms, swinging on vines, and collecting fruit scattered across each level. The main goal is to explore each screen, find all the fruit, and avoid obstacles like rocks or gaps. There are also little educational segments where you answer animal trivia questions to progress. The pacing is relaxed, and the difficulty is fairly low, making it accessible for kids. It feels like a cheerful, straightforward romp through a digital jungle.
