Zoo Keeper came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed by Success. It was part of that early wave of DS puzzle games that made good use of the touchscreen, a simple concept executed with a lot of polish.
You control a cursor to swap adjacent animal tiles, aiming to match three or more of the same type to clear them from the board. The main goal is to reach a target score before the timer expires, often while dealing with a board that scrolls or shakes to increase the challenge. The signature mechanics involve frantic tile swapping under pressure, with special tiles like the lion offering big point bonuses if you can clear them quickly. The pacing is fast and the difficulty ramps up steadily, demanding quick eyes and even quicker fingers. It feels like a constant, satisfying race against a clock that's always just a little too fast.
