Zoo Keeper on the DS is this weirdly addictive puzzle game where escaped zoo animals just won’t stay put. You’ve got to tap or drag them into matching rows before time runs out—sounds simple, but when the screen fills up with giraffes and elephants, it gets chaotic fast.
There’s a bunch of ways to play: Normal mode eases you in with smaller goals, while Tokoton cranks it up by making you clear 100 of each animal (good luck with that). Quest mode throws curveballs, like only letting you catch lions, and Time Attack is pure panic. My favorite? The 2P mode where you can ruin a friendship by stealing each other’s combos.
It’s one of those games where you swear you’ll stop after one round, then suddenly it’s been an hour and your stylus hand is cramping. The animals are weirdly expressive when you mess up, too—judgmental little pixels.
