Play Zorro Online
Run through a colorful town as Zorro, duel guards with your rapier, swing your whip to grab ledges, and rescue prisoners while uncovering secrets along the way.
Zorro was a 1995 MS-DOS release from Capcom, part of a wave of side-scrolling action games that relied on straightforward mechanics and clear objectives. It arrived at a time when many PC gamers were still booting from floppy disks, and its colorful, if somewhat blocky, visuals fit right into that era of sprite-based adventures.
You control Zorro himself, moving screen by screen through a Spanish colonial town to rescue prisoners and thwart the corrupt Alcalde. Your main tools are a rapier for dueling guards and a whip for grabbing distant ledges; combat is simple, focused on timing your slashes and parries. The game requires careful exploration, as you often need to find keys or trigger switches to open new paths, and the pacing is deliberate, with a moderate difficulty that punishes careless jumps. It feels like a brisk, uncomplicated adventure where each successful sword clash and acrobatic escape delivers a small but genuine thrill.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
