4D Sports Tennis came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Distinctive Software. It didn't try to be a simulation; it was more about quick matches and immediate action.

You control a single player on a top-down court, using the keyboard to run, swing, and aim your shots. The main goal is straightforward: win points by outmaneuvering your opponent, but the game throws curveballs with its exaggerated physics and unpredictable ball bounces. Signature mechanics include the ability to put extreme spin on the ball, making it hook or slice wildly, and a turbo button that lets you sprint for a short burst at the cost of stamina. Matches are fast and often chaotic, with the AI reading your moves a little too well at higher difficulties. It feels like a frantic, slightly unhinged version of tennis where every rally keeps you on edge.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
