Game Overview

So there's this old-school Amiga game where you play as Bob Cat, a determined little guy trying to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend Claudette from some shady scientists. It's got that classic platformer feel—you're jumping across gaps, dodging enemies, and timing your moves just right.

What's neat is how jumps work: hold the joystick longer, and Bob leaps farther. Took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but once you do, it feels surprisingly smooth. You can't outright kill enemies, but smacking them with your ball of string stuns them long enough to slip past. And if you're lucky, you'll find rotor blades that let you fly for a bit—total game-changer when you're stuck on a tricky section.

You've got nine lives (hence the title), but watch that energy bar—every hit chips away at it. Lose all eight, and the ninth death means game over. The levels aren't endless, but they're just tough enough to keep you retrying until you nail that perfect run. It's one of those games where you can almost hear the Amiga's sound chip cheering you on.
