You start off as this divine being called The Master, slashing through monsters in these gorgeous pixel-art levels—swinging a massive sword, tossing magic, the whole deal. The platforming feels tight, and the bosses are these big, screen-filling beasts that actually make you think before charging in.

But here’s the twist: after clearing an area, you switch to this overhead view where you play as a little floating angel, guiding villagers to rebuild their towns. They’ll chop trees, build houses, even complain about monsters still lurking nearby (which, fair). You can zap miracles down to help them or just watch them slowly figure things out—it’s oddly satisfying. The music’s fantastic too, switching between epic battle themes and these peaceful village melodies. One of those SNES gems that still feels unique decades later.
