Game Overview

Advance Wars 2 picks up right where the first one left off—same addictive turn-based strategy, but with way more depth. You’re still moving tanks, infantry, and jets across grid maps, but now there’s this whole new layer with CO powers that actually change how battles play out. Some commanders boost your units’ attack, others let them move farther—it’s wild how much difference picking the right one makes.

What I love is how every mission forces you to think differently. One minute you’re scrambling to hold a bridge with limited funds, the next you’re bombing enemy bases with stealth fighters. And between battles, you actually get to spend your hard-earned points on new COs or units, which makes victories feel rewarding instead of just… over.

Oh, and the map editor? Spent way too many hours building stupidly unfair battlefields for my friends. Four-player skirmishes get brutal fast, especially when someone spams rockets from across the map. Still mad about that one.

If you liked the first game, this one’s basically that but with more ways to outsmart people.
