Game Overview

Alien Bash came out for the Amiga in 1993, developed by The Vision Factory and published by Flair Software. It was one of those straightforward, no frills side-scrolling shooters that filled out the library on the platform, sitting comfortably alongside other run-and-gun titles of the era without trying to reinvent the wheel.

You control a lone marine fighting through waves of aliens across several sci-fi themed levels. Your main goal is simply to survive each stage, clearing the screen of enemies before moving on to face a boss. The game gives you a standard blaster to start, but you can collect power-ups for temporary upgrades like a rapid-fire laser or homing missiles. The pacing is relentless; enemies pour in from both sides of the screen, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding quick reflexes and good positioning. Playing it feels like a constant, tense scramble for firepower just to stay alive.
