Game Overview

Ant Hill is one of those MS-DOS Classic Games releases from the early 1990s, developed by Don Daglow and published by Electronic Arts. It came out during a time when strategy and simulation games were starting to find their footing on home computers, offering a different kind of challenge from the typical arcade ports or adventure titles.

You begin as a single ant, tasked with gathering food crumbs while avoiding predators like beetles. As you collect more food, you can grow your colony by adding worker and soldier ants, each with specific roles. Key mechanics include laying pheromone trails to guide your ants efficiently, managing food storage to survive the winter, and defending the nest from threats like centipedes. The pacing is deliberate but tense, especially when resources run low or invaders attack. It feels like a constant balancing act between expansion and survival, where one wrong move can unravel everything you've built.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
