Game Overview

Archer Maclean's Pool takes the solid snooker physics from Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker and throws you straight into the smoky backroom vibe of pool halls. The first thing you notice is how satisfyingly the balls react—no weird glides or sudden stops, just proper weight and spin that actually makes sense when you apply English.

You’ve got three ways to play: UK 8-ball with its strict rules, US bar pool with that satisfying *thwack* on the break, and 9-ball where everything moves fast and you’re constantly eyeing the next shot. The AI players start off manageable, but by the time you hit the top-tier opponents, it feels like they’re reading your mind—miss once, and they’ll run the table on you.

Best part? You can finally save more than one game at a time (unlike the original Whirlwind Snooker), so no more losing your buddy’s humiliating defeat to a quick reboot. Trick shot mode’s there too when you just want to mess around with impossible bounces. It’s the kind of game where you swear you’ll play “just one frame” and suddenly it’s 2 AM.
