Download ATR - All Terrain Racing_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
1995 Amiga top-down racer with 42 tracks across six terrains. Three vehicle types (4x4, buggy, formula) handle differently. Features arcade, battle, and league modes, plus split-screen multiplayer with weapons.
ATR - All Terrain Racing is one of those Amiga racers that somehow feels both chaotic and strategic at the same time. You start by picking between three vehicles—the 4x4 plows through snow like it’s nothing, while the buggy skids wildly on tighter turns. The tracks sprawl out in this weird forced-perspective overhead view, and half the challenge is remembering whether to take the long scenic route or risk a shortcut through alien terrain (yes, alien terrain—you unlock that later).
What I love is how the different modes flip the experience. Arcade mode throws random tracks at you, battle mode turns it into a missile-firing free-for-all with friends, and league mode? That’s where you realize how deceptively brutal it is to just… herd opponents off-screen. The power-ups help, but good luck remembering which one does what when you’re getting shot at mid-drift.
It’s not perfect—some tracks feel like they go on forever—but there’s something satisfying about finally nailing a moon course after fishtailing into craters for half an hour. Team 17 packed a surprising amount of variety into this one.
