If you're into Avatar: The Last Airbender, this DS game is a solid little adventure. You start off as Aang, running around maps that feel straight out of the show—there’s a surprising amount of bending mechanics packed into this cart. Air, water, earth, fire—each has its own feel, though I’ll admit firebending feels a bit overpowered early on.

The combat’s got this weird mix of turn-based and real-time—you pick moves from a wheel, then watch the animations play out. It takes a minute to get used to, but once you do, chaining water whips into earth shields feels pretty satisfying. And yeah, you’ll run into Zuko, Katara, all the usual suspects. Some of the voice clips are ripped straight from the show, which is a nice touch.

Puzzles break up the fights, mostly simple stuff like freezing water paths or air-gliding across gaps. Not gonna blow your mind, but it keeps the pacing from getting stale. The Fire Nation troops get annoying after a while, though—expect to spam a lot of the same combos.

It’s not perfect, but for a licensed DS game? Way better than it had any right to be.
